Back to Galway... 11.12.2015 - 16.12.2015

11.12.2015 - 16.12.2015
After a night of much sleep and a good breakfast we said goodbye to our lovely Couchsurfing host and thought about going north. The only problem was, all the hostels were closed or already full. So the only chance we had was going back to Galway. So we took out our cardboard and wrote GALWAY on it. Checked google for a good location to hitchhike and go.
On our way to the best location we saw an Aldi an thought yeah why not we're both hungry. Problem was we only bought sh**. Pancakes and sweets and stuff. I liked it but the evening I felt sick like hell. :D
Anyway, we arrived at the location and hoped for some nice people taking us with them. like an hour nobody even looked at us. We thought ok let's take the bus again, as suddenly a horn beeped. I looked around and saw somebody waving. We ran to the car and jumped in. We were so sure nobody wanted to give us a lift we didn't realize somebody stopped for us. :D
So back in Galway we decided to go to the same Hostel again. We wet there and all the people we already knew there welcomed us happy and we booked a few days.
I told you about the snoring guy in Dublin right? The night at our new room at the great Hostel we had a guy snoring as loud as a chainsaw. It was insane. Even earplugs were useless...
Every night the same and we didn't sleep that well. But we had great other people in our room!
Today is the day.
We got up at 8:30am today and had a simple breakfast, packed our things and left our hostel and all our people behind. Why? Were in the bus to Tralee at the moment. We will stay there for Christmas because a good Friend of us lives there.
We are both a little nervous. Meet his family is going to be fun i hope. :D
See you folks later.

Trip to Claremorris 10.12.2015 - 11.12.2015

10.12.2015 - 11.12.2015
We checked out at 10am and went straight to our hitchhike location. Hitchhiking in Ireland seems ok but it's wet as hell. After two hours standing there with our cardboard we decided to take the bus. Bit more expensive but nice. So we walked all the way back to the bus station and bought two tickets to Claremorris. While driving we saw loads of flooding all over our ride. Insane!
When we arried in Claremorris it already started to get dark so we decided to go to the next café. We had a tea and soon our Couchsurf host number two arrived. She had a little house up on the hills, beautiful. The funniest thing was her rabbit, he walked through the whole house and wasn't held in a cage. She also had a sweet little cat.
We had our own room! A big double bed. We had a Great time at your place thanks a million!

Back home Woodquay Galway... 09.12.2015 - 10.12.2015

09.12.2015 - 10.12.2015
We stayed for one single night at the same Hostel. Not much to tell you guys. Had a cool dorm without any snoring or outgoing dudes.
Went to sleep a little late because of The 100, our favorite Tv series.

Still Galway 08.12.2015 - 09.12.2015

08.12.2015 - 09.12.2015
This night was special for us. The first Couchsurfer in Ireland decided to open up his door for us. He lived near the Hospital and we had some problems finding it first. After a little map checking we found it and knocked the door. This awesome guy we talked to on the phone before opened up the door and let us in. We could sleep on his couch use his bathroom and his kitchen. We relaxed a little while he went shopping for supper. After supper we had interesting talks and loads of fun. Cool guy, thanks a million for hosting us!
We finally went to sleep on his nice big couch.

Galway here we are! 05.12.2015 - 08.12.2015

05.12.2015 - 08.12.2015
We had the best night ever. That B&B was amazing. Breakfast included, for me Irish breakfast. For her vegetarian Irish breakfast. Packed our stuff and left.
We thought about looking for a Hostel so we could leave our backpacks there and explore town without them. So we went from Hostel to Hostel. And there it was, the cheapest hostel I've ever seen.
Woodquay Hostel we love you! We stayed there the next few nights and were happy and thankful.
Exploring town was insanely amazing. We both loved Galway at first sight. Loads of cute shops, loads of sweet cafés, loads of great street musicians and loads of great people.
We had a great time there!

Dublin and Dreads! 01.12.2015 - 05.12.2015

01.12.2015 - 05.12.2015
We had a great first night back in Dublin (except for some snoring at the dorm). These days in Dublin there aren't any interesting stories in fact. Sorry. We just explored town little more and had a look at some new shops.
Fun starts Friday evening.
Weekend in Dublin. Not like excepted, we are not the guys going out drinking and stuff. I don't drink at all and my girlfriend drinks like hardly never. So whats fun then? I'll tell you! All the hostels were full and none of all the 60 couchsurfers we contacted had space time or whatever. So we decided to stay at Dublin Airport for that night. Took the bus there and had a look at sleepinginairports and soon found out that on Terminal 1 there is a McDonalds with some really comfortable couches. So let's do this.
We had some supper and a tea and tried to sleep.
Earplugs in, brain off. It worked quite well until like 3am. It was a stormy night and loads of flights were cancelled. so thousands of people were at the airport at that time. No chance to sleep well. Whatever a few hours later i was sleeping again.
Early in the morning i woke up and bought some breakfast for me and my girlfriend at the next café. Expensive there!
We did it! Night was over. Both of us wasted as hell we went back to town and then to my dreadguys house. The rest of the day we spent dreading my hair and watching all the Friday movies.
And even ghostbusters. In the evening some friends came from Galway and that was the moment we decided to go there, we found a bed in Galway. It was a B&B so a bit more expensive but we were unable to sleep at the airport again so who cares.
So after the whole day dreading we took the bus to Galway.
When we arrived we went straight to our B&B and slept like on clouds.

Off to Waterford and Dublin 01.12.2015

01.12.2015
Today we left our first Workaway family and went to Waterford, the oldest City of Ireland. We went there because we wanted to see something new something we've never seen before and the guy I found online who will dread my hair lives there. We arrived quite early and we had time to explore the whole city. It's a pretty small town so we sat into a café after we had become tired. :D
We also bought some postcards that day.
At about 6pm we met the dread guy and his sweet daughter. We were really surprised. Such a cool and relaxed guy. Seriously!
Whatever :D we fixed the date to make my hair and said goodbye.
The problem was inside Waterford we weren't able to find any place to sleep. No hostels and no replying Couchsurfers.
So we spontaneously we decided to take the bus to Dublin. At about 9pm we arrived at Dublin and we directly went to a shop to get some sandwiches and than to our Hostel.
Eat and sleep.
